| The A series of drivers embody the classic Lowther sound which has made
Lowther so loved for over 50 years. They have a transparency in the midrange that is
unrivaled. The Lowther sound is especially well presented by the PM2A and PM5A which
have a purity of tone in the highs unlike any other speaker. The character of the high frequency response of the Lowthers changes with magnet strength and type. The PM2A has better high frequency response than both the DX2 and DX3 but not better than the PM5A. The PM6A and PM7A are drivers than were designed to go in the original Acousta The Medallion II is not limited to this choice of drivers and works well with the PM2A and PM5A as well as the DX drivers . Of the A series, the PM2A is the best choice between performance and price and is the most loved of the Lowther connoisseur. Note: The PM4A driver is not recommended for use as a direct radiator. Rather it is designed for use such as in the classic Audiovector speaker where both front and rear horn loading are used. Driver Specifications: |
