Neodymium Magnet Drivers

Neodymium magnets are extremely light for the magnetic field that they create. Fast and clean in their sound, they have great transient speed. If you love jazz, rock, or a more exciting presentation these are the drivers for you.

The DX2 is the smallest, least powerful of this series. It is best used in a Voigt pipe, or a rear loaded horn.

In the middle is the DX3. It is very versatile, useable in front horns, back loaded horns, or Voigt Pipes.

Shown on the left is the DX4. This is the biggest and best of the DX series. Explosive dynamics, extreme transient response make this one fun driver to play with. Use it in a rear loaded horn, or a front loaded horn.

The EX series drivers are identical to the DX in terms of the magnets. They vary in the use of a module on the back. This module is designed to help avoid midrange information from going out the rear of the driver, which can smear the sound if reflected back into the driver by the cabinet. The special phase plug acts to equalize pressure, and increase transient response. Best used in back loaded horns which do not have damping material in the compression chamber.

There are also three 5" drivers, having the same magnet structures as the 8" drivers. These are, in order of magnetic strength, the DX45, DX55, and DX65.
